Personal Profile Settings Overview

Set up your profile so teammates recognize you, tags populate correctly, and security features (like 2FA) work as expected.
Mobile users: On mobile, you can update your user profile information. Other settings features are desktop-only.

TL;DR

  • Go to Account → Settings → Profile (My Settings).
  • Add your photo, name, email, and mobile.
  • Click Save changes.
  • You can also reset your password here.

Update Your Profile Details

1. Open your profile

Account → Settings → Profile (My Settings) → Profile tab.

2. Add or edit details

  • Profile image – shows next to your messages and comments
  • User name – how teammates see you in the app
  • First name / Last name – used in templates/tags (e.g., {{ UserFirstName }})
  • Email – for login and account notifications
  • Cell phone – recommended for two-factor authentication (2FA)
  • Country – improves locale defaults

3. Save

Click Save changes.
Keeping First name and Workspace name up to date ensures your personal signature and message templates render correctly.

Manage Your Password

You can reset your password from the Profile tab.
Choose a strong, unique password and store it securely.
For added security, MessageDesk enforces 2FA after adding your Cell phone.
